There are three basic ways to navigate this site:Search Engine: use the advanced search feature or quick search to search for data on topics such as sanitation, bacteriology, housing, hospitals, race and immigration, or other themes related to public health and the built environment. Annotated Timeline: click on one of the decades above and view the key events related to one of several themes we are developing (currently we have developed the "Water and Waste" theme) to see major events and read an overview of national and local history for that time period.
